We automated new-hire processes to reduce manual administration and ensure all new Kelly colleagues receive the same warm welcome.

Challenge:
Before we welcome a new permanent colleague to Kelly, complex processes and checks must be completed – and these processes shift depending on role and location. Hours spent on new hire administration reduced our HR team’s ability to support employees across our business.
Solution:
We designed two Kelly digital workers to support the new-hire process, encompassing 16 custom-built automations. The first worker automates key elements of new-hire administration, including new-hire emails, downloading relevant information from the applicant tracking system – in this case, Avature - and creating a new employee folder. The second automation orders new-hire kits by regularly reviewing internal systems and ordering welcome packs to be shipped.
Results:
Digital workers ensure that human error or scheduling conflicts never get in the way of new-hire processes, creating a consistent, timely, and positive experience for all new employees. These automations have also delivered significant benefits for our HR team, improving data accuracy and compliance while empowering them to focus their expertise on valuable human tasks.
